Despite my optimism, I often felt overwhelmed by the demands of teaching students at varying levels of language acquisition. Meeting their diverse needs with limited preparation left me feeling unprepared and isolated. Fortunately, experienced teachers recognized my struggles and stepped in to mentor me. Without proper preparation or mentorship, many teachers face burnout, students suffer from inconsistent instruction, and the profession continues to see high attrition rates.This experience showed me how critical it is to provide robust, accessible, and innovative teacher preparation programs. That’s why I developed Verónica, an AI-powered virtual tutor designed to bridge these gaps. I’ll be presenting this solution and sharing how it can transform teacher preparation at the upcoming NABE Conference.
