In this post the author shares his participation in September Innovation in ELT EdTech and Bilingual Education in Practice, an international conference organized by BRAZ TESOL in Belo Horizonte. He introduces his session AI Tutors for Bilingual Education, which presents Verónica, an AI tutor designed to prepare bilingual teachers through scenario based learning. Verónica helps teachers practice academic Spanish face realistic classroom situations and receive guided feedback aligned with certification frameworks. The post also explains how the system blends AI with human expertise so that teachers gain both practical rehearsal and timely support. The message is clear. Technology should empower educators not replace them.
