At the 2025 ALER Conference, I presented with Viviana Hall, educational consultant and co-author of the bilingual children’s book ¿Hacia Dónde Va? / Where Are We Going?. We introduced a Dual Language Lesson Planner, an AI-powered tool that helps teachers create rich, standards-aligned lessons in English and Spanish. Built on generative AI and biliteracy principles, the tool uses structured inputs to generate culturally responsive activities tailored to student proficiency. Our message was clear: AI should amplify, not replace, teaching. With the right design and guidance, generative AI can become a powerful ally in biliteracy education, supporting educators.
