TExES 186 Special Education Specialist EC–12 Exam Prep
Study the ten competencies through classroom explanations, worked decisions and feedback. The course includes practice quizzes, AI Study Buddy support and three complete authored practice forms.
Your complete practice forms
Each newly started Form A, B or C contains 90 selected-response questions and one original written assignment with its exhibits. Both parts share 285 minutes (4 hours 45 minutes). The official 300-minute appointment includes time outside testing; there is no separate official writing timer.
Draft and save your writing during the attempt, resume using the remaining shared time, and export your response. After submitting, open the model and qualitative self-check. Your retained writing can be reopened from practice history. Models and selected-response answer keys are unavailable before submission of a full form.
The selected-response practice result uses the existing course criterion of 240 on a 100–300 practice scale. Writing receives separate qualitative self-assessment. This is not an official combined TExES score or a prediction of passing. Complete all required course steps for the existing course credential.
Ten selected-response items per competency 1–9, allocated 20/20/30/20 across Domains I–IV, are authored practice choices, not official quotas. Earlier saved attempts keep their original questions, time limits and results. Competency 10 and Domain V multiple-choice quizzes are supplemental analytical rehearsal, not the actual written assignment.
This course retains its existing 18 CPE hours of professional development.
