About Core EC-6 Social Studies and Subject Exam 903
The TExES Core Subjects EC-6 (391) is a 5-subject certification exam that Texas elementary educators take to certify for grades EC-6. Social Studies (Subject Exam 903) is one of the five subtests; the others are English Language Arts and Reading (901), Mathematics (902), Science (904), and Fine Arts, Health, and Physical Education (905). Each subtest is scored independently on the 100-300 scale and must be passed at 240 or higher.
